The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) youth wings in Oyo State has announced a joint unity meeting aimed at strengthening the coalition and reaffirming support for the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde.
According to a notice jointly signed by the PDP State Youth Leader, Comrade. Olalekan Bello, and the APM State Youth Leader, Amb. Olumide Ojo, the gathering is intended to foster harmony among youths of both parties and reinforce their commitment to sustaining the youth-focused leadership style of Governor Makinde.
The statement noted that developments in recent months have made it necessary for members of the PDP/APM coalition to unite and work together towards ensuring the continued success of the alliance across Oyo State.
The meeting is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Tafo Arena, Polytechnic Road, Ibadan, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Organisers also disclosed that transportation arrangements would be coordinated through the Local Government Youth Leaders of the coalition parties to ensure the participation of members from across the state.
The youth leaders urged all members to attend the meeting, emphasizing that unity and solidarity remain essential to preserving the achievements of the current administration and building a stronger future for Oyo State.

NOTICE OF YOUTH UNITY MEETING
Dear Distinguished Youths of the PDP/APM Coalition (GSM),
The events of the past few months have made it necessary for us to harmonize, unite, and reaffirm our loyalty to the youth-oriented government of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde (GSM).
As we move forward, let us come together in unity and solidarity to ensure the victory of all our candidates across the state while preserving and strengthening the legacy of youth-driven leadership in Oyo State.
Date: Wednesday, 12th August 2026
Venue: Tafo Arena, Polytechnic Road, Ibadan
Time: 11:00 a.m.
Transportation will be provided through the Local Government Youth Leaders of the coalition parties.
