Adekanmbi, Open-Salawu Conclude Oyo Statewide Thank-You Tour, Reaffirm Commitment to Inclusive Governance

The governorship candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) in Oyo State, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, alongside his running mate, Engr. Muftau Open-Salawu, on Thursday concluded their statewide thank-you tour with visits to the Saki and Iseyin zones, reaffirming their commitment to inclusive governance and sustainable development across the state.

The final phase of the tour covered Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo Local Government Areas, as well as Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola and Iwajowa Local Government Areas, where party leaders, stakeholders, members and supporters turned out in large numbers to receive the APM standard-bearers.

The appreciation tour was organised to thank party faithful for their unwavering support during the party’s candidate nomination process while also strengthening party unity and mobilising members ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Addressing party faithful at the various meetings, Adekanmbi expressed profound appreciation to leaders, stakeholders and members for the confidence reposed in him, noting that the overwhelming acceptance of his candidacy reflects the collective aspirations of APM members across Oyo State.

He emphasised that the mandate entrusted to him belongs to every member of the party and pledged to provide leadership founded on fairness, transparency, accountability and humility if elected governor.

According to him, his administration would operate an open-door policy that accommodates every interest within the party, adding that participatory governance would remain a defining feature of his vision for a greater Oyo State.

Adekanmbi also commended party leaders and grassroots mobilisers for their resilience, dedication and sacrifices, describing them as the backbone of the APM’s growing strength across the state.

He urged members to remain united, disciplined and committed to the party’s shared vision, stressing that sustained grassroots engagement and mobilisation would be key to securing victory in the 2027 governorship election.

The APM governorship candidate further assured supporters that his administration would prioritise inclusive development, community empowerment, youth and women participation, improved infrastructure and people-centred policies aimed at enhancing the welfare of residents across Oyo State.

The statewide thank-you tour ended on a positive note as stakeholders in both the Saki and Iseyin zones reaffirmed their support for the Adekanmbi/Open-Salawu ticket, expressing confidence in the duo’s capacity to provide visionary leadership, promote grassroots development and build a more prosperous, secure and inclusive Oyo State.
