political discussions have intensified across Oyo North Senatorial District following allegations that the former Senator Ayoade Adeseun made remarks considered offensive by the good people of Okeogun and supporters of retired Colonel Gbenga Adegbola and residents of Saki and neighbouring communities.
The controversy is said to be linked to the growing political contest surrounding the senatorial ambition of Mrs Hannah Ogunesan, whose aspiration has attracted an unclear endorsements from sections of the APC in Oyo North.
Supporters of Col. Adegbola reportedly condemned the alleged comments, arguing that the people of Saki and the wider Oke-Ogun region deserve respect regardless of political differences. Also, they said it was the same misbehaviour of Ayoade Adeseun that made His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Olaoye, the Soun of Ogbomosho to stripe him of Mayegun title bestowed on him before.
They maintained that political competition should focus on policies, leadership qualities reasonable party crisis management, and development rather than remarks capable of creating division.
