Executive Adviser on Intraparty Affairs, Hon. Baruwa Commends Gov. Makinde’s Resilience, Congratulates Oyo Residents on Release of Oriire Abductees, Urges Vigilance

The Executive Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Intraparty Affairs, Hon. Abiodun Baruwa, has commended the governor for his resilience and decisive approach to security in Oyo State. He also congratulated residents of Oriire Local Government and Oyo State at large on the safe release of those abducted in the area.

In a statement on Satuday, Hon. Baruwa said the swift intervention and commitment of the Makinde administration in collaboration with security agencies led to the successful rescue of the victims.

“I want to specially commend His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for his resilience, commitment, and proactive leadership in ensuring the safety of lives and property in Oyo State. The prompt response that led to the freedom of our kids and teachers abducted in Oriire is a clear demonstration of this administration’s zero tolerance for insecurity,” he stated.

Hon. Baruwa expressed relief that the abductees have been reunited with their families and described their release as a victory for the people of Oyo State. He thanked the security agencies, local hunters, and community stakeholders who worked tirelessly to secure the release.

While celebrating the good news, the Executive Adviser urged residents to remain alert and to support government efforts by providing timely and credible information to security agencies.

“This is also a time to charge all residents to be more vigilant. Security is a collective responsibility. We must continue to watch out for one another and report any suspicious movement or activity in our communities to the appropriate authorities,” he added.

Hon. Baruwa reaffirmed that the Governor Makinde-led administration remains committed to strengthening security architecture across the 33 local government areas, including continued support for Amotekun, conventional security agencies, and community-based initiatives.

He prayed for continued peace and progress in Oyo State and assured residents that government will not relent in protecting lives and property.
