Ogunlade Distributes Photocopy Machines, Educational Materials to OYOSUBEB and TESCOM, Reaffirms Commitment to Quality Education

…Says development in the education sector remains a top priority

The Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, has reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to improving the standard of education by donating photocopy machines and educational materials to the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB) and the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) zonal office in Ogbomoso North.

The presentation, held at the respective offices, forms part of the chairman’s continuous efforts to strengthen educational administration and provide a more conducive working environment for education stakeholders across the local government.

Speaking during the presentation, Hon. George Ogunlade noted that education remains one of the strongest foundations for community development, stressing that his administration will continue to support institutions responsible for nurturing future generations.

He explained that the donation of photocopy machines would enhance administrative efficiency, while the educational materials would further support teaching and learning activities within public schools.

“Our administration believes that investing in education is investing in the future of our children and our society. We will continue to partner with relevant agencies and provide the necessary support to ensure our schools and education offices function effectively,” the chairman said.

Hon. George also commended the management of OYOSUBEB, TESCOM, headteachers, teachers, and other education personnel for their dedication, commitment, and sacrifices in shaping the lives of pupils and students despite various challenges. He assured them that his administration would not relent in implementing people-oriented projects that will continue to improve the education sector in Ogbomoso North.

Receiving the items on behalf of OYOSUBEB, the Education Secretary for Ogbomoso North, Mrs. Adepoju Alice, expressed profound appreciation to the chairman, describing him as a “promise made, promise fulfilled” leader.

She praised Hon. George Ogunlade for consistently demonstrating genuine concern for the welfare of pupils, teachers, and education administrators. Mrs. Adepoju also commended him for the renovation of the OYOSUBEB office, noting that his interventions have significantly improved the working environment and have positively impacted the educational sector in the local government.

She added that the chairman has remained a dependable partner in educational development and prayed for greater success in his administration.

Similarly, the Director of Administration, TESCOM Zonal Office, Ogbomoso, Mr. Ojelabi Michael, lauded Hon. Ogunlade for fulfilling his promise of providing a photocopy machine for the office alongside educational materials.

According to him, the donation will ease administrative operations and enhance service delivery within the commission. He described the chairman as a responsive and visionary leader whose commitment to educational development continues to inspire confidence among stakeholders.

Mr. Michael appreciated the local government chairman for always identifying with the education sector and assured him that the donated items would be judiciously utilized for the benefit of teachers, students, and the entire educational system.
