Hon. Abiodun Adekola Isola, popularly known as BARUWA, has expressed deep appreciation to Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, following his appointment as Executive Adviser on Intra-Party Affairs.
In a statement made available to journalists on Tuesday, BARUWA described the appointment as a call to service and a testament to Governor Makinde’s commitment to strengthening unity within the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, across the state.
“I sincerely appreciate His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for finding me worthy of this important responsibility as Executive Adviser on Intra-Party Affairs,” BARUWA said.
“This appointment is not just about me, but about every committed party member at the grassroots who believes in the Omituntun 2.0 agenda. I am grateful and I will not take this trust for granted.”
The new Executive Adviser noted that his immediate focus will be on deepening internal harmony, resolving misunderstandings, and ensuring that all PDP stakeholders work as one united family ahead of future political engagements in Oyo State.
“Our party has done very well under Governor Makinde’s leadership. My mandate is to ensure that the unity, discipline, and loyalty we are known for are sustained from the ward level to the state level,” he stated.
BARUWA, a grassroots mobilizer with strong influence across Ibadan and beyond, promised to deploy his experience in party administration to bridge gaps and carry everyone along.
Party chieftains and loyalists have continued to congratulate BARUWA, describing him as a dependable, accessible, and committed party man who understands the dynamics of intra-party relations.
With the appointment, Governor Makinde is expected to further consolidate internal structures of the PDP as the administration advances its second-term agenda for Oyo State.
