The Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Staff Pension Board, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, has extended warm felicitations to Alhaja Chief Yeyeluwa Modinatu Abosede Adedibu on the historic occasion of her 70th birthday anniversary.
In a congratulatory statement issued and made available to journalists, Hon. Ige described the milestone age of 70 as a testament to divine grace, celebrating the matriarch as a shining symbol of resilience, leadership, and benevolence in Oyo State and beyond.
Hon. Ige noted that 18 years after the passing of her husband, the legendary strongman and “Garrison Commander of Ibadan politics,” Alhaji Lamidi Ariyibi Adedibu, the Yeyeluwa has remarkably sustained his towering political legacy.
He commended her for standing firmly as a dependable rallying point for the sprawling network of political associates and leaders mentored by the late politician.

Reflecting on his personal journey, the Pension Board boss and Baameto Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland expressed profound gratitude to the celebrant, acknowledging her pivotal influence on his own political career.
“I deeply appreciate her motherly role in my political life. She has always stood by me, offering invaluable guidance, unwavering support, and words of encouragement that have constantly anchored my aspirations,” Ige stated.
Hon. Ige also lauded her immense contributions to spiritual growth and community welfare. As the Agbesinga Adinni of Ibadanland, her passionate commitment to Islamic virtues and her tireless advocacy for the welfare of the people around her have earned her widespread admiration.
“Alhaja Modinatu is a devout Muslim who lives for the happiness of others. Her dedication to the vulnerable mirrors the true essence of leadership and compassion,” he added.
As she enters the septuagenarian club, Hon. Ige prayed that Almighty Allah continues to bless the Yeyeluwa of Ibadanland with robust health, long life, and sound mind to continue her impactful service to humanity.
