The Yoruba Youth Council (YYC) heartily congratulates Mogaji Ifatayo-Alawode, Alhaji Rahmon Akintunde Alawode, on his well-deserved coronation as the Mogaji of Ifatayo-Alawode Compound, Ibadan.

This historic elevation is a testament to divine grace, exemplary character, unwavering commitment to family values, and dedicated service to humanity. It also represents a significant milestone in the preservation of the rich cultural and traditional heritage of Ibadanland.

The Council expresses its profound appreciation to His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Sen.) Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, for granting the royal approval and conferring this prestigious traditional title. Kabiyesi has continued to distinguish himself as a custodian of Yoruba tradition whose leadership reflects wisdom, fairness, and an unwavering commitment to the progress of Ibadanland.

The Yoruba Youth Council particularly applauds the Olubadan for his inclusive and progressive approach to traditional leadership, one that intentionally creates opportunities for younger generations to participate meaningfully in the administration of their families, communities, and the traditional institution. By recognizing capable, responsible, and visionary individuals for traditional leadership roles, Kabiyesi has demonstrated that preserving Yoruba heritage goes hand in hand with grooming the next generation of custodians of our culture.

The coronation of Mogaji Rahmon Akintunde Alawode is therefore not only a personal honour but also a reaffirmation that the traditional institution remains a credible platform for nurturing visionary leaders who will uphold the values, customs, and integrity of Ibadanland for generations to come. It sends a strong message that leadership should be earned through character, competence, integrity, and commitment to service.

The Yoruba Youth Council firmly believes that sustainable development can only be achieved when young people are deliberately integrated into leadership and decision-making processes. We therefore commend His Imperial Majesty for fostering an environment where competent youths are encouraged to serve, contribute, and prepare themselves as worthy custodians of our cherished heritage. This approach will undoubtedly strengthen the traditional institution while promoting unity, continuity, and community development.

We pray that the reign of His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Sen.) Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, will continue to usher in greater peace, prosperity, unity, and intergenerational harmony throughout Ibadanland and Yorubaland as a whole.

The Council also specially commends Okanlomo Oodua, Chief (Engr.) Dotun Sanusi, for his fatherly role, steadfast support, and unwavering commitment to the preservation of Yoruba culture, traditions, and values. His continuous investment in youth empowerment, community development, and the promotion of deserving sons and daughters of Yorubaland remains exemplary and worthy of emulation. His support for initiatives that strengthen both the traditional institution and the younger generation further demonstrates his enduring commitment to the advancement of the Yoruba race.

On behalf of the entire youth constituency of Yoruba Land, we embrace this new challenge and a greater responsibility in service to Ibadanland and the entire Oodua race in extension. On behalf of the entire members of the National Working Committee of our noble council, we congratulate the entire Ifatayo-Alawode family, the traditional institution, associates, and the good people of Ibadanland in celebrating this memorable occasion. We pray that Almighty God grants the new Mogaji wisdom, strength, good health, and a successful tenure as he faithfully discharges the responsibilities of his revered office. Congratulations Mogaji!
