*Ibarapakan Hails Makinde’s Seventh Year in Office, Expresses Confidence in Adekanmbi’s Readiness and Capacity*

Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has hailed the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde, describing the last seven years as a defining period of transformation, responsive leadership and people-driven governance in Oyo State.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Friday, May 29, 2026, Hon. Adepoju said Gov. Makinde’s administration has successfully restored public confidence in government through visible developmental projects and inclusive policies across major sectors of the state economy.

According to the federal lawmaker, Governor Makinde’s style of governance has continued to distinguish him as a leader genuinely committed to the welfare, development and overall progress of all residents of the state, particularly the ordinary citizens.

“Governor Seyi Makinde has redefined public leadership in Oyo State. In the last seven years, governance has become more people-focused, transparent and development-oriented.

“From infrastructure renewal to education, healthcare, agribusiness and economic expansion, my leader and mentor has consistently demonstrated capacity, sincerity of purpose and uncommon dedication to the growth of our dear state,” he remarked.

The candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North State Constituency in the 2027 general elections noted that the Governor’s achievements have not only positioned Oyo State as a leading destination for investment and tourism but have also strengthened public trust in democratic leadership.

He expressed strong confidence in the APM governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, stating that with his character, capacity and pedigree, Oyo State will remain in safe and capable hands after the expiration of Governor Makinde’s tenure. He added that Adekanmbi is well-positioned to consolidate on and deepen the uncommon legacy already laid by the present administration.

The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character stressed that the people of his constituency remain proud of the Governor’s achievements and will continue to support policies and initiatives aimed at sustaining development across the state.

The lawmaker prayed for divine wisdom, strength and sound health for Governor Makinde as he continues to pilot the affairs of Oyo State toward greater prosperity and sustainable growth.
