The Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful in Ona Ara Local Government, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In a statement made available to journalists, Dr. GLORIOUS congratulated Muslims for witnessing another celebration of Eid Kabir, describing the festival as a sacred period of sacrifice, obedience, love, and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
The Chairman urged Muslim faithful to continue promoting peace, unity, tolerance, and harmonious coexistence among themselves and with people of other religions for the overall development of society.
According to him, the essence of Eid-el-Kabir goes beyond merriment, stressing that the season should serve as a reminder of the need for compassion, kindness, and selfless service to humanity.
Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS also called on residents of Ona Ara Local Government to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and security-conscious during and after the festive period.
He further encouraged privileged individuals to extend love and support to the less privileged in society, noting that caring for one another remains one of the core teachings of Islam.
The Executive Chairman prayed for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in Ona Ara Local Government, Oyo State, and Nigeria as a whole.
He wished all Muslim faithful a joyful, peaceful, and blessed Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
