Congratulates Balogun Olubadan
The recently installed Ibadan family head, Mogaji Abiola Oyeyemi Agoro has
expressed his condolences over the death of Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Mahood Olalekan Balogun Alli.
Mogaji Agoro on behalf of his family in a condolence message issued, on Saturday described Oba Balogun’s death as a great loss to the people of Ibadan and the traditional institution in Oyo State.
He commiserated with the Oyo state government, Olubadan In Council, Ibadan Magajis, CCII, and Indigenes, over the passing of the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
According to Mogaji Agoro” The passing of Olubadan, Oba Lekan Balogun Alli is an end to a glorious era of an exemplary King in Ibadanland and remarkable reign of an outstanding traditional ruler in Oyo State.
” It will be in the history of the Ibadan tradition system that, the city once had a King, who was once a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with an impeccable record of incorruptible leadership. It was a privilege to witness his reign.
” Oba Balogun left a legacy of forthrightness, thoroughness and unwavering commitment to public good. His death is a great loss to the people of Ibadan and he will be greatly missed,” Mogaji Agoro stated.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late Olubadan and for the almighty Allah to grant his family and the entire people of Ibadan land the fortitude to deal with the passing of the late monarch.
Mogaji Agoro thereafter congratulates the next Olubadan of Ibadanland, Balogun Olubadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin. He wishes the next Olubadan with good health as he prepares to ascend the throne.
