Ibadan South West was hit by a massive protest as members of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), newly joined party members, and constituents took to the streets to reject Hon. Yusuf Adebisi and demand a leadership consensus around Hon. Abiodun Adekunle Isola Baruwa.

The protesters, drawn from market associations, Community Development Associations (CDA), and APM members, said they could no longer work with Hon. Yusuf Adebisi, accusing him of adding zero value to the constituency since assuming office.
According to the demonstrators, the APM in Ibadan South West has gained new members who are ready to mobilize and tell the public about the party’s vision. However, they insisted that this effort would be undermined if Hon. Yusuf Adebisi remains the face of representation.

“We joined APM to bring real change to our people. But we cannot move forward with someone who has done nothing for this constituency,” one of the protesters said. “Hon. Abiodun Adekunle Isola Baruwa is the leader we have agreed on. He understands our needs and has the capacity to deliver.”

The protesters called on party leaders and stakeholders to respect the consensus of the people and allow Hon. Abiodun Adekunle Isola Baruwa to lead the constituency forward under the APM platform. They vowed to continue sensitizing residents on the party’s goals and to push for accountable leadership.

Shops and commercial activities in parts of Ibadan South West were temporarily shut as the crowd marched through key areas. Security personnel monitored the procession to ensure it remained peaceful.

The demonstration highlights growing political realignment in Ibadan South West, with APM positioning itself as an alternative platform driven by grassroots consensus.
