Preparations have been concluded for the much-anticipated 3rd Youth Parliament Assembly screening exercise as the organising committee officially unveiled members of the screening panel ahead of today’s exercise.


The committee, in a statement made available to journalists, disclosed that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure a transparent, credible, and hitch-free screening process for prospective participants seeking to be part of the new Youth Parliament Assembly.
According to the statement, the screening exercise is aimed at identifying vibrant, intelligent, and leadership-driven young individuals who possess the capacity to contribute meaningfully to youth development, policy discussions, and community advancement.

The organisers explained that the Youth Parliament initiative remains a strategic platform designed to nurture future leaders, encourage youth participation in governance, and promote responsible leadership among young people.


The committee further noted that the screening panel comprises experienced professionals, youth advocates, administrators, and stakeholders with proven records in leadership and youth engagement.

It added that the selected panel members are expected to conduct the exercise with fairness, professionalism, and integrity in line with the objectives of the Youth Parliament Assembly.
Speaking ahead of the exercise, the committee expressed optimism that the screening would produce competent and passionate young leaders capable of representing the interests and aspirations of youths within their respective constituencies and communities.
“The 3rd Youth Parliament Assembly is another opportunity to strengthen youth inclusion in leadership and governance. We are committed to ensuring a transparent and merit-based process that will bring out the best among applicants,” the statement read.
The committee also urged all applicants to arrive early at the screening venue with the necessary documents and writing materials, while advising participants to conduct themselves in an orderly and responsible manner throughout the exercise.
Stakeholders and youth leaders have continued to commend the initiative, describing it as a commendable effort toward empowering young people and preparing them for future leadership responsibilities.
The 3rd Youth Parliament Assembly is expected to provide a platform for robust legislative simulations, debates on youth-related issues, leadership development programmes, and advocacy initiatives geared toward societal growth and democratic participation.
