IBADAN, Oyo State – The Allied Peoples’ Movement, APM, coalition in Oyo State today recorded a significant step toward a united electoral front as Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji (KSA), the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.

The meeting, held at Hon. Adekanmbi’s residence in Ibadan, focused on the future of governance at the local and state levels and reaffirmed both leaders’ commitment to issue-based, people-centered leadership under the APM platform.

Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, popularly known as KSA, used the engagement to formally declare his support for Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi’s governorship ambition and to deliberate on strategies for strengthening the APM structure across all wards in Oyo State. The discussions covered coordinated grassroots mobilization, policy alignment, and the effective delivery of federal and state interventions to communities.

Speaking after the meeting, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi praised Engr. Kolawole Adedeji’s consistent grassroots engagement and his role in advancing the coalition’s 2027 objectives.

“Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji represents the new face of politics in Oyo State, young, vibrant, intelligent, and genuinely committed to service. His style of political operations, rooted in integrity and grassroots connection, is exactly what we need to win the trust of our people. I commend him for the work he has done so far toward the victory of our coalition in 2027. I urge him to continue with this good work and not relent. By God’s grace, we will work together to deliver purposeful governance to the people of Oyo State,” Hon. Adekanmbi said.

He further expressed confidence in the strength of the PDP-APM coalition, stating:

“It is my prayer that the Allied Peoples’ Movement will win all elective positions from the presidency, where His Excellency Seyi Makinde will lead as the coalition’s presidential candidate, to the governorship in Oyo State, the National Assembly, and the State House of Assembly. By the special grace of God, victory will be ours in 2027.”

In his remarks, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji thanked Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi for the reception and reiterated that his candidacy is anchored on vision, service, and integrity.

“This visit is about alignment and purpose. Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi embodies the kind of leadership Oyo State needs, experienced, people-focused, and forward-looking. As the APM candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East, I am committed to working hand-in-hand with our governorship candidate to ensure that our people experience real development. Our discussions today centered on how we can bring federal and state resources together to address the challenges in our communities from infrastructure and education to youth empowerment and agriculture,” KSA stated.

“The people of Ido/Ibarapa East deserve representation that is accessible, accountable, and results-driven. I am confident that under the leadership of Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi and with the strength of our coalition, APM will deliver governance that restores hope and creates opportunity for every citizen of Oyo State.”

KSA emphasized that the coalition’s campaign strategy will prioritize ward-to-ward mobilization, listening tours, and policy-driven engagements that directly address the needs of voters.

The meeting signals a deliberate effort by APM to present a coordinated and credible alternative ahead of the 2027 elections. With Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji’s technical expertise and Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi’s political experience, the coalition is positioning itself to deliver measurable outcomes in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment across Oyo State.

Both leaders concluded the engagement with a commitment to sustain regular consultations and to commence joint grassroots activities across the state in the coming weeks.

The Allied Peoples’ Movement is committed to advancing purposeful governance in Oyo State through competence, accountability, and inclusive development.
