Dr Fagbemi Commends Makinde Over APM Alliance, Backs Gov’s Presidential Ambition

Dr Akin Fagbemi, the House of Representatives candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, has commended the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, for forming an alliance with the APM, describing the move as a bold and strategic step capable of reshaping the political landscape of the state ahead of future elections.

Fagbemi gave the commendation while fielding questions from journalists shortly after the Unity Mega Rally held in Ibadan on Thursday.

He said the alliance reflected a shared commitment towards strengthening democratic values, promoting inclusiveness and ensuring good governance for the people of Oyo State.

“We commend Governor Seyi Makinde for his courage, foresight and political maturity in forming this alliance with the APM. It is a step that demonstrates genuine concern for the unity, growth and development of Oyo State,” he said.

Fagbemi noted that the alliance would further reposition the party and enhance its chances of electoral success across different levels.

“We are happy with the courageous decisions taken by the leadership of our great party today. The signing of this alliance is a clear indication that APM is ready to work with like-minded stakeholders for the progress of our people and the development of our democracy,” Fagbemi stated.

He also expressed support for the governor’s presidential ambition unveiled during the event, saying the development signified the readiness of the party to provide credible leadership for Nigerians.

“The presidential ambition announced today reflects the growing confidence within our party. It shows that APM is prepared to provide purposeful leadership and credible alternatives for Nigerians,” he added.

Speaking on the forthcoming elections, Fagbemi assured party supporters that the APM would deliver all its candidates in Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency.

“I can assure our members and supporters that APM is fully prepared for victory in Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency. We are united, committed and determined to ensure that all our candidates emerge victorious,” he said.

The Unity Mega Rally attracted party faithful, supporters and political stakeholders from different parts of Oyo State, with speakers at the event reiterating the need for unity and collaboration ahead of future political engagements.
