The Ibadan Frontline Elite Group has extended its congratulations to Mogaji Joseph Tegbe following his nomination as Nigeria’s new Minister of Power.

The announcement comes after the resignation of former CBN Deputy Governor, Bayo Adelabu, prompting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to tap Tegbe—a renowned technology expert and financial consultant for the role.
In a joint statement by Group Coordinator Ambassador Kemi Akinleye and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Ibrahim Yusuf Babatunde, the group described the nomination as “well-deserved.” highlighting Tegbe’s unwavering commitment to the progress of Ibadan, Oyo State, and the nation.

The group specifically commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his trust in Ibadan’s human capital.

By appointing another indigene to lead such a sensitive ministry, the group noted that President Tinubu has signaled confidence in the city’s wealth of competent and experienced professionals.

The group equally lauded the President for approving the dualization of the Ibadan-Ijebu Ode Road, stressing that this critical project when completed is expected to end the “nightmare” commuters are facing and deter kidnappers who have presently exploited the route’s poor condition.

The Elite Group further congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, noting that under his reign, Ibadan indigenes continue to ascend to heights of national significance.

While expressing total optimism in Tegbe’s ability to excel, the group urged the people of Oyo State to rally behind the Minister-designate, emphasizing that absolute support is vital for Tegbe to succeed in the challenging task of transforming the country’s power sector.
