*Ibarapakan Grateful to Gov. Makinde, Party Stakeholders, Donates N10M to Stakeholders in Appreciation*

Party leaders unanimously adopt Akorede for state Assembly in Ibarapa central and North state constituency.

Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency have received with great enthusiasm and ecstasy the second-term ticket of Hon. Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju as the party’s candidate for the 2027 general elections.

The well-attended meeting of the stakeholders was held in Ibadan, the state capital, on Monday, April 20, 2026, where party leaders collectively celebrated and showed their support to the lawmaker’s second-term ticket on account of his transformative leadership and loyalty to the party.

The meeting, which lasted about three hours, also saw the emergence of the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa North, Hon. Lateef Adebare Akorede, as the party’s consensus candidate for the State Assembly in 2027.

Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Adebayo appreciated the party leaders for their unalloyed loyalty to His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, since 2019. He noted that such support has resulted in landslide victories for the PDP in all elections over the past seven years.

He also appealed to the leaders, stating that winning the next general election would be a win-win situation for the PDP, its members and those with various political ambitions.

In their remarks, the leaders promised to work assiduously to ensure that the PDP is re-elected next year, for the overall development of Oyo State and the continuation of the good work started by Governor Makinde in 2019.

In a landmark move to support party activities at the constituency level, Hon. Adepoju donated the sum of ten million naira (N10,000,000), while Hon. Lateef Adebare donated two million naira (₦
N2,000,000).
