Security, youth employment, community development, and primary healthcare top the agenda of Alhaji Hassan Abolaji Bello, known as HASSANO as consultations continue over the Ibadan South West Local Government chairmanship seat ahead of IBSWLG 2026.

Bello, a grassroots politician with longstanding ties to communities across the council’s 12 wards, has anchored his chairmanship bid on responsive local governance and good work that delivers visible results. His HASSANO blueprint prioritises rehabilitation of inner roads, improved sanitation, support for small businesses, and functional ward-level engagement.
Stakeholders familiar with his political activities say Hassano’s approach is built on open-door administration and regular interface with traditional rulers, community development associations, and youth groups. The focus, they note, is on community development and engagement to ensure council projects reflect local needs and are properly monitored.

Speaking during recent engagements in Ibadan, Hassano said Ibadan South West requires leadership that understands its population density and social diversity. He argued that deliberate attention to good work in service delivery, skills support for artisans, and structured programmes for students will stimulate the local economy and ease pressure on households.

HASSANO 2026 is about a council that works for the people every day. Security, jobs, and genuine community development are not slogans, they are the minimum residents should expect,” he said.

Party leaders and delegates in Ibadan South West have been weighing competence, track record, and community service as consensus activities continue across Oyo State ahead of the general election.

Bello maintained that his chairmanship bid rests on measurable service delivery, noting that functional primary healthcare centres, cleaner neighbourhoods, and sustained community engagement will form the core of his first year in office. HASSANO also stated that he will continue the good work of Honourable Kehinde Akande, Eletu 1, if given the mandate to lead Ibadan South West Local Government in IBSWLG 2026.

The HASSANO agenda, he added, is a direct response to demands from ward meetings and community visits over the past months, where residents show intrest in his capacity.
