*HON. ABIODUN BABALOLA PhD REAFFIRMS RESOLUTE LOYALTY TO GOV. SEYI MAKINDE, CONDEMNS ALLEGED IMPEACHMENT PLOT*

*…Ibadan North East Lawmaker Vows to Resist Any Anti-Democratic Moves Against Performing Governor.*

The Member representing Ibadan North East Constituency 01 in the Oyo State House of Assembly and former Political Head/Sole Administrator of Ibadan East Developmental Area, Hon. Abiodun Babalola PhD (Mr. Integrity), has pledged his absolute and resolute loyalty to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engineer Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde FNSE, amid swirling rumours of a plot to impeach the Governor.

The lawmaker’s declaration comes on the heels of disturbing revelations attributed to the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebowale Ogundoyin, who reportedly disclosed that the Olubadan of Ibadanland and Ambassador Florence Ajimobi — widow of the late Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi — separately held secret meetings with the Speaker, allegedly aimed at engineering the impeachment of Governor Makinde.

The Speaker was purportedly promised a House of Representatives ticket, full APC party membership, and a completely funded campaign and election war chest in exchange for his cooperation.

Reacting swiftly and firmly to the alleged conspiracy, Hon. Babalola, who is widely regarded across Ibadan North East as a pillar of democratic integrity, called on all political actors, irrespective of party affiliation, to immediately disengage from what he described as an evil and anti-people agenda. He stressed that the good people of Oyo State are thoroughly satisfied with the exemplary performance and developmental strides of Governor Makinde’s administration, and that any attempt to truncate the Governor’s tenure through legislative manipulation would be met with decisive resistance.

“Governor Seyi Makinde is not just a performing Governor — he is the people’s Governor. The citizens of Oyo State are seeing results in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and security. Anyone plotting his removal is plotting against the collective progress of our people,” the lawmaker declared.

The former Caretaker Chairman equally vowed that he would personally stand in the gap and oppose any such treacherous move, should rogue elements attempt to exploit the Oyo State hallowed chamber for selfish and partisan ends. He called on well-meaning Nigerians, legislators, and stakeholders to rally around the Governor and protect the democratic mandate freely given to him by the people of Oyo State.

Hon. Babalola further urged the citizens of Oyo State and supporters of good governance to offer prayers for the Executive Governor, that he may succeed and complete his tenure beyond 2027, paving the way for the continuity of the Omituntun 3.0 agenda.

He expressed full confidence that Governor Makinde’s preferred and anointed candidates would triumph at the governorship and all other elective positions in the forthcoming elections, ensuring the sustained transformation of Oyo State.
