The Lanlate Youths Solidarity (LYS) group has sharply criticized the current representative for the Ido/Ibarapa federal constituency, Hon. Remi Oseni, highlighting the accomplishments of his predecessor, Rt. Hon. Yemi Taiwo. The group asserts that Taiwo’s achievements far surpass those of Oseni since he took office, specifically calling upon Oseni to showcase his accomplishments from 2023 up to the present.
The group extols Hon. Yemi Taiwo’s contributions during his political career, emphasizing his innovative and impactful projects which have ostensibly transformed the Ibarapa East/Ido constituency. Taiwo’s initiatives are described as “unprecedented” and deeply rooted in community needs, reflecting his attributes of honesty, integrity, and compassion.

THIRTEEN (13) CLASSROOMS PROJECTS ACROSS IBARAPA EAST/IDO FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY
Between 2019 till date, Rt. Hon. Oluyemi Adewale Taiwo has constructed Thirteen (13) blocks of Three/Two classrooms at eleven (11) various schools to strengthen the educational sector in his Federal Constituency of Ibarapa East/Ido due to his love for Education.

A . Certification And Empowerment of his Constituents In Two Days
Empowerment Program On Brackish Wayer Cage Culture At Federal College of Fisheries And Marine Technology Victoria Island Lagos,held on September 10th – 11th, 2020. (All 50 beneficiaries were given start up cash)
B . Capacity Building and Empowerment Of Farmers on Planting And Processing Bio-Fortified Cassava. The Program was held in Lanlate on November 23rd-24th, 2020.
(All 70 beneficiaries were given start up cash)
C . Two Days Capacity Building and Empowerment Training on Paint Making And Marketing Program held on 26th to 27th of November, 2020 in Eruwa Town Hall.
(All 80 beneficiaries were given start up cash)
D . Vocational Training And Empowerment Of Women and Youths In Fish Farming And Production In Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency held on 29th to 30th of November in Ido LG.
(All 70 beneficiaries were given start up cash and Tarpaulin Fish Ponds)
E . Capacity Building and Empowerment of Unemployed Youths On Farming in Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency. Held in Ido LG on 20th to 21st of December, 2020.
(All 50 beneficiaries were given start up kits with cash)
F . Another One Day Capacity Building and Empowerment Training on Paint Making And Marketing Program held in Ibarapa East LG Hall.
(All 30 beneficiaries were given start up cash)
G . The last One Day Capacity building And Empowerment Of Women and Youths In Fish Farming And Production In Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency held in Ido LG.
(All 25 beneficiaries were given start up cash).
H. Youth and women from the Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency were trained on creating leather goods,all beneficiaries from the LGs in constituency attended the training at Eruwa LG while necessary provisions were made for the beneficiaries feeding inclusive and start-up cash were given to them at the end of the training.
I. Capacity building and empowerment workshops on phone repair, held at Omi-Adio LCDA for constituents of the Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency.All provisions were made for the beneficiaries feeding inclusive while start-up cash were given to them at the end of training.
J. Distribution of Empowerments Materials like Generators and freezers to Ibarapa East/Ido constituents
HEALTH
• Rt, Hon.Yemi Taiwo donated two fully equipped medical ambulances to his constituents in the Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency for use in mobile medical outreaches and treatments.
The Ambulances are circling local marketplaces and busy locations to perform routine medical examinations for conditions like malaria, diabetes and majorly to take of emergency cases., hence,one for each LG (Ibarapa East and Ido respectively).
Rt. Hon.Yemi Taiwo facilitated the construction of three medical health care with modern facilities in the following locations
• Aba Ado, Elebu, Ward 10, Ido LG.Completed
• Aba-Ayinde, Ward 10, Ido LG. completed
•Ago Ayo, Ward 5, Ido LG.

. Provided Free Health Education, out-patients consultation, Medical laboratory tests, scanning, dispensing of drugs, reading glasses and eyes surgery, Hernia Surgery and other surgeries for various ailments to his constituents.
POWER PROJECTS.
• Solar power light up of Apete to Awotan in Ido LG. This project was done to crown the effort of the executive governor of Oyo state, H.E Engr Seyi Makinde for the just completed road project in the area.
TRANSFORMERS DONATIONS
• Rt.Hon.Yemi Taiwo donated a 300Kva transformer to the Landlord Association of Orire Estate Community in Oho Apata, Zone,Ido LG, Ibadan while all other facilities needed for connection were provided.
•Rt.Hon .Yemi Taiwo donated a 300Kva transformer to ALUBATA (Unity) Landlord and Landladies Association, Alabama Township, Off Ayegun, Apete Road, Apete, Ido LG, Ibadan while all facilities needed for connection were provided.
PERSONAL EFFORTS/PHILANTHROPIC GESTURES
• Rt.Hon.Yemi Taiwo paid jamb registrations fee for many Students in Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency in 2021.
• Rt. Hon.Yemi Taiwo nominated a UTME candidate with an outstanding score in (2019 UTME) for Federal government scholarship, the beneficiary is entitled to a sum of #250,000 as cost of studying allowances each year valid throughout his years of study in the university.The beneficiary who is from Koonu’s Compound, Isale Togun, Lanlate, Ward 8 Ibarapa East LG has received the first and second payments already.
SPORTS
• Recall, Rt Hon.Yemi Taiwo is the current President of the Nigeria Mini Football Association,where he used his office to secure the hosting rights for the second edition of the 2021 African Mini Football Nations Cup in Oyo State where 16 National Teams from the African continent took part in the competition from July 8 to July 17 of that year. The competition served several purposes, including showcasing football skills and promoting tourism in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
RECOMMENDATIONS
•Rt. Hon.Yemi Taiwo has recommended many constituents for job opportunities at both public and private organizations and feedbacks have always been favorable.
•Rt.Hon.Yemi Taiwo as a member of the Green Chamber’s House Committee on Poverty Alleviation, he was able to get more of Npower slots totaled 160 for his constituents.
•Rt.Hon.Yemi Taiwo used the same influence of the committee to secure several slots of N30,000 the FG’s Survival Fund for many of his constituents.
• Rt.Hon.Yemi Taiwo also facilitated the distribution of N20,000 each to 130 artisans Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency.
BRILLIANT MOTIONS MOVED
•Rt.Hon.Yemi Taiwo moved a motion on the floor of the House Of representatives on the “need to caution the Officers of the Federal Road Safety Commission from engaging motorists in Hot Chase on Highways,” in which he cited some deadly instances of some incidents across Oyo state,including the Moniya area incident in Ibadan on April 13, 2019, and the Ogbomoso-Ilorin road incident on February 8, 2020, both of which resulted in loss of lives and properties.
•Rt.Yemi Taiwo introduced a motion on the abandoned earth satellite station (NITEL) in Lanlate, Oyo State, Nigeria calling for intervention.
•Rt.Hon.Yemi Taiwo Introduced a motion addressing the necessity of extending the current railway line from Abeokuta to Ibadan and to Maya Market in Ibarapa East region of Oyo State.
CO-SPONSORED BILLS
The South-West Economic Development Commission Bill, if passed into law, will serve as a catalyst for the development of the South West region’s commercial and industrial potentials. It will also receive and administer funds allocated by the Federation for the region’s development, particularly for agricultural and industrial development of the region.
PETITIONS
Rt. Hon.Yemi Taiwo submitted a petition in appealing for justice regarding the gruesome murder of Mr. Adegoke Timothy Oluwadamilare while he was traveling to write his MBA examination at the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife. The petition has been submitted and it’s going through further legislative action.
The group calls for accountability and transparency from Hon. Remi Oseni, urging him to present measurable achievements in his nearly three-year term and questioning how these efforts align with the substantial legacy left by Hon. Yemi Taiwo.
The push for performance evaluation reflects a growing demand among constituents for effective political representation that meets the community’s needs and aspirations.
