The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State today held a well-attended general meeting at its party office located adjacent to the FRSC office in Ido.

The meeting drew a large turnout of party stakeholders, including local executives, ward leaders, and members from across the local government. The Apex Leader of the party in the area was also in attendance, alongside the Deputy National Women Leader of ADC, Alhaja Kafilat Olayiwola.
Other notable attendees included Mogaji Oluwagbemiga Ishola Salimon, a key figure for the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency; Barrister Saka Fashola; Hon. Olulade Saheed; Hon. Nike Yusuf; and Hon. Ola Sheu, among other prominent party faithful.

In their various remarks, speakers emphasized the need for unity, commitment, and unwavering loyalty among members, noting that cohesion within the party remains critical to achieving electoral success in forthcoming political activities.


A major highlight of the meeting was the discussion on the party’s preparedness for the upcoming ward, local government, and state congresses. Members were urged to remain organized and committed ahead of the ward congress scheduled for April 7, the local government congress on April 9, and the state congress on April 11.

The meeting also featured the unveiling of aspirants vying for various elective positions within the party structure, as well as the formal welcome of new members who recently joined the ADC from different wards across the local government.


Party leaders expressed optimism about the growing strength of the ADC in Ido Local Government, assuring members that the party is well-positioned for future political engagements if unity and discipline are sustained.
