The residents of Egbeda Local Government on Tuesday benefited from a free medical test and treatment programme organised as part of activities marking the 50th anniversary of Oyo State.
The Egbeda local government organized a day free Medical Outreach to Grassroots held at Alajia/Olode Primary Health Care Centre and Alakia Primary Health Care Centre, Isebo, Egbeda local government, ibadan, and attracted a large turnout of community members who received free medical consultations, health screenings, and treatments.
In his speech, Hon. Sanda commended His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for prioritising the welfare of the common people and ensuring healthcare services closer to the residents at the grassroots.
He emphasized that accessible and affordable healthcare remains a cornerstone of sustainable development, while reaffirming the local government’s commitment to complementing the state government’s efforts to improve the health and well-being of the populace.
He further congratulated the residents of Egbeda Local Government and Oyo State at large on the golden jubilee, characterizing Oyo as a pacesetter state distinguished by its rich history and promising future.
Beneficiaries of the medical outreach expressed appreciation to the state and local governments for the initiative, noting that the free medical services had helped address pressing health needs, especially among the elderly and low-income residents.
