Residents of Elebu community in Ibadan have urged Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, to keep to his promise of completing the Elebu and BCJ road projects before the end of his tenure, describing the move as critical to economic growth and improved livelihoods in the area.

Governor Makinde made the assurance on Sunday during a Thanksgiving Service held at Rehoboth Cathedral, Oluyole Estate, Ibadan, where he also called on the church to continue praying for sustainable growth and development in Oyo State.

While expressing gratitude to God for peace, safety, and prosperity recorded in the state under his administration, the governor commended the church for its unwavering support since the inception of his government. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructural development, stressing that road construction and rehabilitation remain key priorities.

Reacting to the governor’s pledge residents of Elebu described the timely completion of the road projects as long overdue, noting that improved road infrastructure would significantly enhance commercial activities, ease transportation challenges, and boost small businesses within the community.
