The Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government, Hon. Lateef Akorede, has commended the Member representing Ibarapa North/Ibarapa Central Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, for the successful rollout of the second phase of the Digital Skills Empowerment Programme, which has empowered hundreds of constituents across the constituency.
Hon. Akorede described the initiative as timely and impactful, noting that the programme aligns with global trends in technology and youth empowerment.
According to him, equipping young people with digital skills is a sustainable approach to tackling unemployment and promoting economic self-reliance in the constituency.
“The second phase of this digital skills programme further demonstrates Hon. Dr. Anthony Adepoju’s commitment to human capital development and inclusive governance.
This initiative will not only empower our youths but also position them to compete favorably in today’s digital economy,” the council chairman stated.
He praised the federal lawmaker for prioritising capacity building, innovation, and practical empowerment, adding that the programme will have long-term positive effects on entrepreneurship, productivity, and economic growth in Ibarapa North and Ibarapa Central.
Hon. Akorede also urged beneficiaries to make effective use of the opportunity by applying the knowledge and skills acquired to create value for themselves and their communities.
The Digital Skills Programme, now in its second phase, covers training in areas such as digital literacy, ICT tools, online business skills, and other technology-driven competencies aimed at improving employability and self-employment among youths and women in the constituency.
