The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke on Saturday hosted the 2025 edition of the Children’s Christmas Party, drawing thousands of excited children and parents to the newly remodeled Igboora Ultramodern Town Hall.

The event, now in its second year served as a festive convergence for families across Ibarapa Central. Children were treated to a full day of entertainment, music, gifts, games and special performances designed to promote social interaction and cultural bonding.
Hon. Adeleke, in his remarks made available by his personal assistant Azeez Sodiq, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to youth and child development at the grassroots. He described the annual Christmas party as “a deliberate investment in the emotional wellbeing, happiness and future of our children,” noting that children remain central to the continuous growth of the local government.

He also expressed appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for the consistent support extended to all local governments in the state.

The Executive Chairman further commended Solution FM, Ibadan for partnering with the local government to enhance this year’s edition. The station’s presence added excitement and media amplification to the event.

In addition, he praised the event’s planning committee, councillors, supervisory councillors, Special Assistants, Chief of Staff, the Leader of the House and members of the PDP family for their commitment to ensuring a smooth and well-organized celebration. Traditional rulers from the community were also acknowledged for their support and fatherly guidance.
Parents at the event applauded the initiative, describing it as a timely and thoughtful gesture that not only entertained the children but also strengthened community unity during the festive season.
The Christmas celebration ended on a joyful note as children left with gift packs, food items and shared memories that highlight the season’s message of love and togetherness.
