Governor Seyi Makinde’s recent executive order to combat illegal mining in Oyo State signifies a proactive approach to safeguarding the lives and properties of its residents. By addressing the issue of illegal mining head-on, the government aims to tackle various challenges posed by this illicit activity and promote overall security and well-being within the state.

●Curbing Criminal Activities:
Illegal mining often attracts criminal elements, leading to an increase in associated crimes such as theft, vandalism, and violence.
