In a festive boost to the fast-approaching Detty December season, the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development has announced a strategic partnership with West NG to deliver one of the state’s most vibrant end-of-year celebrations yet.

The collaboration will power a grand cultural carnival themed around the community’s popular slogan, “Lále Ọjọ Yẹn, Ibo Lọ Wá?” a spirited phrase that roughly translates to “Tonight’s the night—where are you turning up?”

According to the convener, Barr. Olamide Idowu, acknowledged that the project is set to spotlight rich get-together vibes in Pacesetter State, at the community level with market people, traders, transporters, and residents who deserve fun and a profitable December.

He however affirmed that the venue is popular at Liberty Stadium, while engagement has begun with several Fuji and entertainment personalities including Taye Currency, Rasheed Apala, and DJ Zino, among others.

Barrister Olamide further reiterated that the event is designed not only to energize the holiday mood but also to promote youth inclusion, local creativity, and economic activity during the December festivities.

He said, the category of attendees includes industrious and resourceful people who are entitled to leisure and also hip hop to the music as well as other entertainment categories.

Also, curated experiences showcase food, crafts, and fashion from the region. With its fusion of cultural pride and modern-day Detty December energy, the carnival aims to position Oyo as a major entertainment hotspot this season.

While making approval of the partnership, the Chairman of Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, emphasized that the partnership with West NG reflects a shared vision to activate the creative strength of young people while boosting tourism and community engagement.

Adebowale said, West NG, known for its large-scale event productions, is expected to elevate the carnival’s reach and production quality. He assured them of the Oyo State government’s support through the Agency for Youth Development, under the leadership of His Excellency Engr ‘Seyi Makinde.

As excitement builds, the phrase “Lále Ọjọ Yẹn, Ibo Lọ Wá?” is rapidly becoming the rallying cry for youths gearing up for an unforgettable December. For many, the carnival is shaping up to be the ultimate destination for culture, connection, and celebration in Pacesetter State.
