Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has joined his friend and colleague in the National Assembly, Hon. Oyeshina Ayodeji, representing Iseyin, Kajola, Itesiwaju and Iwajowa Federal Constituency, in celebration of Okeho Day.

The event, which took place in the community on Saturday, November 29, 2025, brought together indigenes, political functionaries and other eminent dignitaries to mark the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Adepoju called for unity among indigenes of Oyo State in combating insecurity. The federal lawmaker beseeched all residents in Oyo State to put aside their differences and work together to promote peace, harmony and stability in the state.

According to him, it is a snake’s penchant for moving alone that exposes its offspring to life-threatening risks (Àdánìkànrìn ejò ló ńjẹ ọmọ ejò níyà), calling on all sons and daughters of the state to work hand in hand to support the government in fighting against all forms of social vices.


The Ibarapa-born technocrat cum politician congratulated Hon. Oyedeji on this year’s Okeho Day, acknowledging the lawmaker’s support for anything that concerns Ibarapa, hence the reciprocation of what he knows how to do best.
In a bold move towards supporting the development of the community, Hon. Adepoju donated the sum of one million naira (N1,000,000) as a way of contributing to the growth and progress of Okeho town.
He thanked the people of the community for their continued support for the current administration in the state led by His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, stressing that with mutual respect and understanding, Oyo State will continue to thrive and demonstrate development as a true pacesetter state.
