The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ogo-Oluwa Local Government, today held its first general meeting following the recently concluded party congress at Ajaawa under the dynamic leadership of the newly elected Party Chairman, Mr. Adediran Olugbade.

The meeting witnessed massive attendance, high enthusiasm, and genuine expressions of gratitude to the People’s Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, and the State Party Leadership for the successful conduct of the congresses at the ward, local, and state levels.
The well-attended gathering had in attendance several notable leaders and stakeholders, including:

Hon. Sanjo Akintola, Special Adviser to the Governor on Constituency Matters

Hon. Ogundare Abideen Adeoye, Member Representing Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere State Constituency, Oyo State House of Assembly
Hon. Ajala Abraham, Vice Chairman, Ogo-Oluwa Local Government
Hon. Akinsola Akinboro, State Executive Member

Hon. Solomon Ajadi, Former Council Chairman
Hon. Remi Adegboyega, Former Council Chairman
Pa. John Famakin

Hon. Mrs. Ogunwale

Mr. Atoyebi
Hon. Nathaniel, Former SA to the Chairman on Political Matters
All newly elected Local Executives, Ten (10) Ward Chairmen, Five (5) Councillors, Supervisory Councillors, Special Assistants, Former Councillors, and Former Supervisory Councillors.
Also in attendance were representatives from Surulere Local Government, led by Hon. Rasaq Mustapha, who represented the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Hon. Olasunkanmi Olaleye.
However, party members expressed strong disappointment over the deliberate absence of the Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Council Chairman, who was fully informed and officially invited to the historic meeting.
His intentional avoidance of the gathering raised serious concerns among stakeholders, prompting calls for the state party leadership to question his conduct, which party faithfuls described as disrespectful, divisive, and unbecoming of a leader within the PDP family.
Other notable absentees include Hon. Simeon Oyeleke (SA to the Governor on Budget), Hon. Sunday Ojo (Member Representing Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency), and Pa. Gideon Oyeleye (Former Party Chairman).
In a strong show of unity and commitment, party leaders made generous donations to support local party activities:
Hon. Ogundare Abideen Adeoye – ₦700,000
Hon. Olasunkanmi Olaleye (Commissioner for Agriculture) – ₦500,000
Hon. Ajala Abraham – ₦200,000
Hon. Adedokun Nathaniel – ₦50,000
The meeting concluded with renewed pledges of loyalty to the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, the State Party Executives, and a collective resolve to strengthen the PDP in Ogo-Oluwa Local Government ahead of future elections.
