New executive members of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) have emerged in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State, to run the affairs of the party for the next four years.

The peaceful consensus arrangement of the congress which took place at the LA basic school, Òkehò on Saturday, 20th September, 2025 culminated in emergence of Hon. Ojesanmi Moses Tunde as the new chairman who took over from Hon. Johnson Ojebiyi, who had led the party for eight years.
Other members of the executives are Saminu Afeez(Vice Chairman), Shittu Abdullahi( Secretary), Tijani Isiaka(Youth Leader), Mrs Gbolahan Charlotte Folasade(Women Leader), Azeez Raufu Olawale(Treasurer), Kewulere Lateef Olabisi(PRO1), Awoniran Jacob Kehinde(Auditor), Salaudeen Tairu Supreme( Financial Secretary), and Alhaji Mustapha Kolade Nasiru(Organising Secretary).

Others are Ojeyinka Michael(Legal Adviser), Ojebode Ademola( Assistant Secretary), Ojeniyi Thomas(PRO2), Olaniyi Samuel( Ass. Financial Secretary), Hammed Aishat Faramade(Ex-Officio1), Oladunmoye Waliu(Ex-Officio2), Jimoh Taofeek Olawale(Ex-Officio3), Saminu Dauda(Ex-Officio4) and Raji Lateef(Ex-Officio5) and Hon. Johnson Ojebiyi (National Delegate) respectively.


While speaking, Electoral Officer for the congress, Mr M.A. Salau thanked the leaders, stakeholders, youths and general members of the party for their staunch support, commitment and dedication to the party, praying God almighty to reward all abundantly.
He called on all and sundry to throw their weight behind the new executive members as they had done to Hon. Johnson Ojebiyi led administration, tasking the new executive members to ensure that the party in the council area is kept together and allow no room for cracks and division.
Member of the House of Representatives representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/Kajola Federal Constituency, Hon. Najimdeen Oyeshina Oyedeji, Chairman of Adult and Non-former Education in Oyo State, Hon. Ayo Olopoeniyan, the Executive Chairman of Kajola Local Government, Hon.(Barr.) Akeem Olawale Mustapha, the outgoing Chairman, Hon. Johnson Ojebiyi, Leader Okunade Adeshina and others asked the new executive members to toe the path of unity, love and togetherness for the development and progress of the party.

While delivering his acceptance speech, the new chairman promised to act on leadership of inclusiveness that would not create room for sentiment and division, calling on all to throw their weight behind him in order to take the party to the greater heights.
They also charged them to ensure they reach out to those who felt aggrieved with the development and bring all together for the party’s victory in the subsequent elections.
The peaceful congress had in attendance of the party members across the eleven wards in the council area, as the Law Enforcement Agencies and the officers of Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) were not left out of the exercise.
