The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, popularly known as O MU YES, has congratulated Alhaji Isiaka Fatokun (Abuye) on his emergence as the Consensus Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan North East, as well as other newly elected party executives at the Local Government Congress held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the council’s Secretariat, Iwo Road, Ibadan.
Hon. Akintayo commended the peaceful conduct of the congress and applauded the leadership of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, for his outstanding role in ensuring unity and stability within the PDP across the state.
He also extended warm regards to all stakeholders, leaders, elders, and faithful members of the party in Ibadan North East for their commitment and loyalty to the growth of the PDP.
In his goodwill message, the council boss charged the newly elected executives to embrace teamwork and unity in their operations, stressing that their collective responsibility is to strengthen the party at the grassroots.
“Leadership at the grassroots is the foundation of our party’s success. I urge the new executives to work in harmony and remain committed to uniting our party at the local level. By doing so, we will continue to consolidate our strength and ensure victory in future elections,” Hon. Akintayo said.
The successful conduct of the congress has been widely described as another milestone in reinforcing the PDP’s dominance and stability in Ibadan North East Local Government.
