Hon. Olusina Ogunsola has congratulated Hon. Nasiru Hamzat on his emergence as the new Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oluyole Local Government, Oyo State.

Hamzat, from Ward 10, was elected during the PDP local government congress held at Methodist High School, Orita New Garage, Ibadan, on Saturday.
The congress, which witnessed a massive turnout, was attended by 170 ward executive members and 30 delegates. It was conducted by the state-approved 11-man Electoral Committee led by Hon. Mojeed Mogbonjubola, Commissioner for Public Works and Transport. Other members included Hon. Waheed Akintayo, Hon. Lasun Salami, Dr. Gbola Adetunji, Dr. Ibrahim Dikko Salami, Engr. Akeem Adetunji, Hon. Settle Olaide, Olumide Akinlade, and Hon. Olusina Ogunsola, among others.

The exercise was monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), led by Pastor Kehinde Omisile, alongside security agencies.


Speaking with journalists, Hon. Mogbonjubola described the emergence of Hon. Hamzat as “a new dawn for PDP in Oluyole”, commending his past experience as Leader of the House in the local government. He further praised party members for the peaceful and orderly conduct of both the ward and local government congresses.
Dr. Dikko Salami also applauded the process, assuring that Hon. Hamzat’s leadership would strengthen the party in the council.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Hamzat promised to unite all members and reposition PDP in Oluyole Local Government.

Hon. Olusina Ogunsola, while congratulating the new Chairman, lauded party leaders and members across the wards for their commitment and peaceful participation. He expressed optimism that Hamzat’s leadership will usher in renewed strength, unity, and victory for the PDP in Oluyole.
