The Oyo State Hospitals Management Board (OYSHMB), has officially commissioned a Mental Health and Rehabilitation Unit at State Hospital, Saki.

This initiative aims to enhance mental health care services in the Oke-Ogun region, addressing the growing need for mental health support, particularly during times of economic stress.
The mental health rehabilitation unit to Provide accessible mental health services to the residents of Oke-Ogun, promoting overall well-being and stability.

The Mental health unit would also Strengthen the capacity of healthcare workers to deliver quality mental health care through training and support.


It would also foster partnerships with relevant stakeholders to address emerging mental health challenges.
In his address, The Chairman Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi emphasized the importance of mental health awareness, encouraging individuals to prioritize their mental well-being.
He commended the efforts of the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Olawale Oladimeji, and his team for their dedication to delivering quality healthcare services.

The Mental Health and Rehabilitation Unit at State Hospital, Saki, marks a significant milestone in Oyo State’s healthcare development, demonstrating the government’s commitment to improving mental health care services.
This unit will serve as a vital resource for the community, providing essential support and treatment for individuals with mental health needs.
The Oke-Ogun Mental health rehabilitation unit commissioned in Saki by Dr. Akin Fagbemi is the second mental health rehabilitation unit in Oyo State after 30 years of the one in Ring Road State Hospital.
