The GSMists Is An Ideology” – Dr. Akin Fagbemi Declares As He Receives Group Delegation

The Chairman of the Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, has described The GSMists as more than a political group, declaring it an ideology rooted in the values and leadership style of Governor Seyi Makinde. He made this assertion while receiving a courtesy delegation from the leadership of The GSMists at his office in Ibadan.

The visit was led by the group’s State Coordinator, Prince Oluyinka Tella, who noted that the purpose of the engagement was fourfold: to introduce the new leadership of The GSMists, founded by Ore Gomina; to appreciate Dr. Fagbemi for his consistent support; to propose a new strategic partnership between the group and the board; and to reaffirm the group’s loyalty to the developmental agenda of Governor Seyi Makinde.

Prince Tella emphasized that The GSMists are fully aligned with the governor’s vision of inclusive governance, grassroots development, and institutional reform. He commended Dr. Fagbemi for being an exemplary public servant who continues to embody the progressive values the group stands for.

In his response, Dr. Akin Fagbemi commended the group for their sense of purpose and unity, stressing that every member of The GSMists must reflect the attributes of Governor Seyi Makinde; integrity, service, innovation, and people-first leadership.

“I am a core and life member of The GSMists,” Dr. Fagbemi affirmed. “What Governor Makinde has done is not just build infrastructure or grow the economy, he has changed the entire political narrative in Oyo State and Nigeria. We must all be ambassadors of this new political era.”

The GSMists delegation included prominent leaders such as the Secretary Ganiyu Kamarudeen, Financial Secretary Chief Wale Kareem, Women Leader Olubisi Afolabi (OLABAT), Print Media Director Edris Olawoyin, OCAT, and the Chief Coordinator, Hon. Lukman Olajide (Royal Umbrella, Ore Gomina).

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to synergy and community-focused initiatives, with both parties pledging to work together in advancing healthcare and governance innovations in line with the governor’s broader vision for Oyo State.
