The Chairman of the Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency (OYCSDA), Hon. Abideen Adeaga, has extended warm congratulations to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, and his wife, Her Excellency Engr. Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde, on the conferment of prestigious chieftaincy titles by the Akure Kingdom in Ondo State.

In a grand and culturally rich ceremony, the Deji of Akure, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Aladelusi Ogunlade, conferred the titles of Aare Omoluabi and Yeye Aare Omoluabi of Akure Kingdom upon the Governor and the First Lady. The honor, according to Hon. Adeaga, is a significant recognition of their exemplary leadership and tireless contributions to humanity, community development, and the preservation of Yoruba values.
In a statement made available through his media office, Hon. Adeaga lauded the Makindes for continually elevating the image of Oyo State through service-driven leadership and character steeped in dignity, excellence, and compassion.

Once I heartily congratulate our visionary Governor, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, and our gracious First Lady, Her Excellency Engr. Tamunominini Makinde, on their deserved recognition as Aare Omoluabi and Yeye Aare Omoluabi of Akure Kingdom,” Hon. Adeaga stated. “This remarkable honor is a strong testament to their integrity, community-centered governance, and unwavering commitment to the upliftment of lives across Oyo State and beyond.”

The OYCSDA Chairman emphasized that the conferment is not just ceremonial but a celebration of the Omoluabi ethos—an emblem of noble character, discipline, and service to the common good.

He described the recognition from Akure Kingdom as a unifying cultural milestone that reinforces the shared heritage of the Yoruba people across regional boundaries.
The colorful ceremony in Akure witnessed the presence of traditional rulers, dignitaries, and political leaders from various parts of the country, including top representatives from Oyo State who joined in honoring the first couple.

Hon. Adeaga also used the occasion to call on residents of Oyo State to remain steadfast in their support for Governor Makinde’s transformative policies and inclusive development agenda.
This honor belongs to all of us in Oyo State. It is a moment of collective pride and a clear affirmation of the quality leadership we are blessed with. Let us continue to rally behind Governor Makinde and Her Excellency in their efforts to build a more prosperous, united, and progressive Oyo State,” he added.
