The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Adebo Edward Ogundoyin, has congratulated the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde and his wife, Chief Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on their conferment with the prestigious chieftaincy titles of Aare Omoluabi and Yeye Omoluabi of Akureland by His Royal Majesty, the Deji of Akure Kingdom in Ondo State, Oba (Dr.) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi.


In a statement personally signed by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin described the honour as a resounding recognition of Governor Makinde’s exemplary leadership, people-centered governance, and unwavering commitment to the progress of Oyo State and the broader South-West region.
“True leadership is not about a title or position; it is about impact, influence, and inspiration, and His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde embodies all three qualities,” the Speaker said.

He added that the conferment of the title on both the Governor and the First Lady is a celebration of their shared values of service, humility, and dedication to the welfare of the people.


“This honour affirms your legacy of integrity, visionary leadership, and transformative governance. May God continue to grant you strength and wisdom to lead with grace and compassion,” the statement read.

The Speaker extended warm congratulations on behalf of the entire Oyo State House of Assembly, noting that the legislative arm is proud to stand in solidarity with the Governor on this well-deserved honour.
