The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has extended warm congratulations to the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and his wife, Her Excellency Tamunominini Makinde, on their recent conferment with prestigious chieftaincy titles in Akure, Ondo State.

Governor Makinde was honoured with the title of Aare Omoluwabi of Akure Land, while his wife was bestowed with the title of Yeye Aare Omoluwabi of Akure Land during a grand installation ceremony that drew dignitaries and traditional rulers from across the region.
Describing the honour as well-deserved, Hon. Adeojo praised Governor Makinde for his unwavering commitment to the advancement of Yoruba values and leadership excellence.

“Governor Seyi Makinde continues to make us proud, not only as a visionary leader but also as a true custodian of Yoruba tradition and culture. His humility, service to humanity, and respect for our heritage are what the Omoluwabi ethos stands for,” Adeojo stated.

He further noted that the recognition by the Akure traditional council is a reflection of the governor’s pan-Yoruba appeal and the respect he commands beyond the boundaries of Oyo State.

The Ido Council chairman also congratulated Her Excellency Tamunominini Makinde for standing as a pillar of support beside the governor, especially in her contributions to social development and empowerment programmes across the state.
“Their conferment is a reminder that leadership rooted in integrity and cultural identity is always recognized and celebrated,” he added.

Hon. Adeojo wished the first couple continued success in their endeavours and prayed that their new titles will further strengthen their commitment to good governance and cultural upliftment in Yorubaland and beyond.
