Makinde Condoles With Ibadan Chief Imam Over Brother’s Death

Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has condoled with the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulganiyu Agbotomokekere, over the death of his younger brother, Fadilat Sheik Muritala Abubakar Gatta.

Makinde, while describing the death of Baba Gatta who recently returned from Umurah as shocking, urged the Chief Imam and other members of the family to be comforted by the good life the deceased led.

He said, “I was shocked to learn of the demise of Fadilat Sheik Muritala Abubakar Gatta, younger brother of the Chief Imam of Ibadanland.

“I express my condolences to the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheik Abdulganiyu Agbotomokekere and the deceased’s immediate family.

“I also commiserate with the Muslim Ummah in Ibadanland in particular and Oyo State in general.

“Losing a loved one is always saddening but the Chief Imam and the entire family should be comforted by the good life the deceased led and the good works he did.

“It is my prayer that the Almighty Allah (SWT) will grant him Aljanah Firdausi and give those he left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.”
