Ibadan, Oyo State — A pall of sorrow has descended upon Ibadanland following the passing of the revered Olubadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin. Among the many dignitaries mourning the monarch’s demise is Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami, the newly appointed Chairman of the 3SC Board and a proud son of Ibadan North.

In a statement issued on Monday, Hon. Salami described the monarch’s passing as “the end of a noble era,” calling it a profound loss to all sons and daughters of Ibadan. He paid glowing tribute to the late Oba, lauding his wisdom, humility, and unwavering dedication to the unity and progress of the land.
“Though his reign was brief, it was marked by dignity, grace, and a depth of fatherly counsel that impacted countless lives,” Salami noted.

He offered prayers for the royal family, the Olubadan-in-Council, and the entire Ibadan people, seeking divine comfort and strength to bear the weight of the loss.

Concluding his message, Hon. Salami remarked:
“May his soul rest in perfect peace among our noble ancestors. Adieu, Kabiyesi. Ibadan grieves your exit, but your legacy will forever remain with us.”
