The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, popularly known as “O mu Yes,” has extended warm felicitations to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, on the occasion of his 90th birthday.
In a heartfelt message, Hon. Akintayo described the revered monarch as a beacon of peace, unity, and wisdom whose reign has brought remarkable stability and progress to Ibadanland. He praised Oba Olakulehin’s leadership style, calling it dignified, fatherly, and deeply rooted in the rich cultural traditions of the ancient city.
“The Olubadan has continued to lead with grace, calm, and dignity. His 90th birthday is not just a celebration of longevity, but a tribute to a life dedicated to the service, peace, and development of Ibadanland,” Akintayo stated.
He also reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to preserving the cultural heritage of Ibadan by fostering closer collaboration with the Olubadan-in-Council and other key stakeholders.
According to him, the Olubadan’s reign has reinforced unity among the people of Ibadan and sustained the city’s strong identity and traditional values.
Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, who ascended the throne in 2024 as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, is widely admired for his calm disposition, vast leadership experience, and devotion to preserving Ibadan’s time-honoured customs.
Hon. Akintayo concluded his message with prayers for the monarch’s continued good health, strength, and divine guidance as he leads the people of Ibadan into greater heights.
