As the Muslim Ummah marks the beginning of a new Islamic year, Hijrah 1447, the Chairman of the Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency (OYCSDA), Honourable Abideen Adeaga, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims across Oyo State and beyond, urging them to embrace the spirit of unity, reflection, and renewed spiritual commitment.

In his goodwill message, Hon. Adeaga described the Hijrah as not just a historical migration of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from Makkah to Madinah, but a powerful reminder of sacrifice, perseverance, and the pursuit of a just and moral society under the guidance of divine principles.
He noted that the Hijrah season is a time for both personal and collective renewal, calling on Muslims to strengthen their relationship with Almighty Allah, intensify good deeds, and uphold the timeless Islamic values of peace, compassion, and tolerance.

As we step into Hijrah 1447, I congratulate our Muslim brothers and sisters for witnessing yet another opportunity to reflect on our journey of faith and purpose,” Hon. Adeaga stated. “This sacred season reminds us of the importance of unity, patience in the face of adversity, and sincere devotion to the will of Allah.”

He also emphasized the importance of communal harmony and urged the Muslim faithful to continue praying for the peace, progress, and development of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.

Hon. Adeaga reaffirmed OYCSDA’s unwavering commitment to community growth and inclusive development, aligning with the values of equity and service that underpin the Islamic message.
As the new year unfolds, he enjoined all to move forward with renewed hope, deeper spirituality, and an unwavering belief in building a society where mutual respect, justice, and prosperity reign.

Happy Hijrah 1447!
May the new year bring divine blessings, lasting peace, and upliftment to all.
