Lagelu, Oyo State – May 23, 2025

The Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Mr. Mudashiru Kamorudeen has extended a heartfelt gratitude and profound appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the people of Oyo State, as demonstrated by the remarkable progress in the reconstruction of the Olodo Bridge.

In a deep spirit of gratitude, Mr. Kamorudeen joins the residents of Lagelu and Egbeda Local Government Areas in celebrating a transformative milestone: the completion and opening of the Olodo Bridge along the Ibadan-Iwo Road. This critical infrastructure, devastated by floods in July 2023, has been restored through the purposeful leadership of Governor Makinde, whose administration has prioritized the well-being and connectivity of communities.

“On behalf of the people of Lagelu Local Government, I’m extending our deepest gratitude to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde for his steadfast dedication to rebuilding not just a bridge, but the hopes and aspirations of our people,” said Mr. Kamorudeen.

“The reconstruction of the Olodo Bridge, a federal road undertaken and funded by the Oyo State Government, stands as a testament to Governor Makinde’s commitment to infrastructure that uplifts lives, regardless of political or geographic boundaries. The bridge, which is now opened for vehicular movements, and for pedestrians, is already easing the burdens faced by residents and motorists, restoring seamless access to markets, schools, and neighboring communities”….. ““The Olodo Bridge is more than a structure; it is a lifeline that connects families, fosters commerce, and strengthens the bonds of our communities. Governor Makinde’s resolve to deliver this project, even amidst challenges, reflects a leadership that listens, acts, and delivers for the people.”
