The Oyo State Government has commenced strategic preparations for the 2025 fiscal year with a comprehensive training programme for top officers of the Thirty-three (33) Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state.

The four-day training, held at the Local Government Staff Training School, State Secretariat, Ibadan, was designed to align the LGAs’ budgeting processes with the National Chart of Accounts (NCOA), ensuring transparency, accountability, and standardization across all councils.

Speaking at the event, the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Ademola Ojo, commended the proactive steps taken by the current administration, led by Governor Seyi Makinde.

He emphasized that the training reflects the government’s unwavering commitment to good governance and effective service delivery at the grassroots level.

The training is expected to enhance the capacity of local government officials and ensure the timely and accurate preparation of the 2025 budgets in line with national standards.

In his remarks, the Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Prof. Musbau Babatunde, reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to fostering good governance and harmonized budget practices throughout the state, particularly at the grassroots level.
