Oyo State PDP Reconciles Aggrieved Leaders and Councillors in Ido Local Government

Ibadan, Nigeria – March 12, 2025 –

The Leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State has successfully reconciled aggrieved councillors and leaders within the Ido Local Government chapter, bringing lasting unity and strengthening the party’s grassroots structure.

The reconciliation meeting, which took place at the State Secretariat, Molete, Ibadan was convened in response to internal disagreements that had affected cohesion within the local government’s legislative and executive arms. The intervention underscores the party’s commitment to fostering unity, inclusiveness, and collective progress.

The meeting was chaired by Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, the State Secretary of the PDP, and was attended by Micheal Ogunsina, the State Youth Leader and Acting Publicity Secretary of the PDP in Oyo State. Also in attendance were Hon. Adelabu Aderemi Alaba, the State Auditor, and Pastor Biodun Popoola, the Assistant Organising Secretary of the Party in Oyo State.

Distinguished party leaders in Ido Local Government, including Leader Muili Yusuf, Baba Elewedu, Alhaji Kamoru Aderibigbe, Hon. Matthew Akano, Hon. Akinsola Ayuba, Leader Bolaji Adeoye, Alhaji Ojo, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo and other revered stakeholders, were present and actively participated in the reconciliation process.

After extensive deliberations and open dialogue, all differences were amicably resolved. The leaders and councillors unanimously agreed to foster unity, collaboration, and mutual respect for the overall growth of the party and the progress of Ido Local Government.

Speaking at the meeting, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke commended all parties for their commitment to peace and reconciliation, emphasizing that unity is a non-negotiable pillar of the PDP’s strength. Micheal Ogunsina also highlighted the significance of teamwork in advancing the party’s objectives and reaffirmed the leadership’s dedication to addressing internal concerns promptly and effectively.

The Oyo State PDP extends its appreciation to all leaders, councillors, and stakeholders who contributed to the success of this reconciliation process. The party remains committed to ensuring a cohesive and progressive structure across all levels in Oyo State.
