The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has given a pass mark to National Youth Service Corps members in the local government for promoting the cultural heritage of the country.
Hon. Adeojo gave the commendation while showing his satisfaction with the educative and entertaining cultural display packaged into the cultural day activities organized by Ido corps members.
The chairman commended the corps members for understanding the motive for the creation of NYSC which is basically to develop common ties among the Nigerian youths and promote national unity and integration.
The Ido Council boss said he was touched by the educative cultural programs put together by Ido corps members, which indicates their understanding of the reason for the creation of NYSC.
He assured them of success in their future jobs if they could research the given subject before attempting it as reflected in their cultural day program.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the NYSC local government inspector, Mr. Paul Adejide said words are not enough to appreciate the council chairman for his fatherly and friendly disposition to Ido corps members.
He also extended his appreciation to other political functionaries and other career officers in the local government for their wonderful support towards his office.
