…I appreciate the Governor of Oyo State for his prompt response and the security measures put in place towards curtailing the ugly incident at Bodija ,Ibadan.

It would be recalled that on Tuesday 16 January 2024 an explosive occurred through illegal miners storing explosive devices in a building in Ibadan to be specific Dejo Oyelese street Bodija area resulting in three fatalities and numerous injuries,it’s a pity because it was reported that one of the victims undergoing treatment for the ugly happenings at the hospital has passed away yesterday, may the departed soul rest in perfect peace.

The Executive Chairman of Oyo West Local Government, Hon.Prince Akeem Salam Olukitibi,commiserates with the people of Bodija over the recent explosive resulting fatalities,loss of properties and many injuries.

He proclaimed this while expressing his displeasure over the reports gotten from Bodija area of Oyo state.Hon.Prince Akeem Salam Olukitibi,The Executive Chairman of Oyo West also reiterated and gave an assurance that adequate and proactive measures and steps had been taken by the government of Oyo State under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde to curtailing the ugly incident.

On a final note,the truth has been established that the Oyo state government has identified the company involved with the storage of explosive devices in that particular building,Olukitibi while commending the Governor of Oyo State for his prompt response to the incident charged the people of the state to be vigilant and all ears in case of misuse of explosive gadgets,ugly activities and they should not involve in any assembly that can cause mayhem to our dear state and Nigeria at large.Olukitibi concludes
