The Executive Chairman of Ido local government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo continues to fulfill his campaign promises with the provision of
classroom desks and chairs to pupils of primary schools in his council area.
Adeojo while handing over the desks and chairs to the pupils’ teachers from various schools said the gesture is to compliment the unrelenting effort of governor Seyi Makinde on education in the state.
” The desks and chairs provided is targeted at supporting the qualitative educational policy of Engr. Seyi Makinde’s led administration in the state. I had made the promise during the campaign that if I am re-election, I will continue to boost the governor’s efforts in my local government”, Adeojo explained.
The chairman in his address said the atmosphere of learning and the sitting posture of pupils to a larger extent determine the assimilation and understanding of pupils in the classroom.
He also seized the avenue to implore the teachers to give their best to the pupils in public primary schools as the foundation laid down in the elementary schools is what will be built on as the students progress in their academic pursuits.
In his appreciation message on behalf of the three beneficiary schools, Mrs. Adedoyin Folashade Esther from Community Primary School, Olomo-Oloro appreciated the kind gesture of the chairman and promised to put in their best for the betterment of the students.
Other schools that benefitted from the distribution of benches and desks are St. Peter Primary School, Batake, Idi-iya, and St. James Primary School, Ilaju all under the jurisdiction of the Ido local government area.
