The Chairman Oyo state Hospital Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, has paid an unscheduled night inspection visit to Jericho Specialist Hospital to assess the staff and nurses on night duty yesternight on Saturday.
The visit was part of the chairman’s numerous unscheduled inspections to all hospitals in the state, aiming to evaluate their commitment and readiness to serve the people of Oyo State.
Upon entering the premises of Jericho Specialist Hospital at around 10:20pm, the security personnel on duty were caught off guard and shocked to see the chairman making a nighttime visit.
Dr. Fagbemi emphasized that Governor Seyi Makinde is dedicated to ensuring the well-being of hospital workers and staff for sustainable healthcare delivery.
He also announced the governor’s promise of a comprehensive welfare package for all hospital workers to enhance service delivery.
The chairman urged all workers to be diligent, committed, and supportive of the government’s efforts to provide sustainable healthcare to the people of Oyo State.
On his inspection, Dr. Fagbemi saw patients admitted on the various wards receiving medical care.
During the visit, Dr. Fagbemi inspected all wards, the maintenance department, and security posts to assess the hospital’s overall operations.
The staff the chairman met on duty included: The Doctor-on-call, Dr. Lawal, The Nurses on duty – Nurse Adesipo at Maternity Ward, Nurse Opayele at Emergency Unit, Nurse Shittu at Female Ward, Nurse Ogundele at Male Ward, A Corner Nurse, Record Officer, Maintenance Officer, and two Maintenance Officers.
