The lawmaker representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency in Oyo State, Engr. Aderemi Oseni has launched a series of road construction projects aimed at revitalising the constituency’s infrastructure.

This initiative comes as a welcome relief to residents who have long struggled with poor road conditions that have hindered economic activities and increased travel difficulties.

Among the major road projects facilitated by the lawmaker are critical routes designed to enhance connectivity and ease transportation. These include the Elebu Junction – Elebu Market – Orita Merin – Idi Ahun Road, Nihort – Baptist – All Saint – Agbofieti Road, Amuludun Junction – Oke Oloro – Powerline – Sangote Road, and Gbopa Junction – Ogunremi – Olodo – Elenusonso Road.

These roadworks are crucial to improving access for residents and businesses, fostering smoother trade and communication within the constituency.

Oseni, who is also the Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), in a statement by his media aide, Idowu Ayodele, emphasised that his commitment to upgrading the infrastructure extends beyond these projects.

He announced that additional areas in Eruwa and Lanlate are also slated for similar road upgrades, with contractors expected to begin work soon. These efforts underscore Oseni’s dedication to ensuring that all parts of the federal constituency benefit from improved road networks, addressing long-standing community demands.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling his promises, highlighting the pivotal role of road infrastructure in boosting local economies and improving the overall well-being of the people.

He noted that these road construction projects form part of a broader strategy to spur infrastructural revival and deliver sustainable development to the Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency.

“For years, the lack of adequate road infrastructure has been a significant barrier to development, particularly affecting residents, transporters, and traders who face immense challenges moving goods and services across the constituency,” Oseni said.

Oseni added that as construction progresses, the improved roads are expected not only to ease movement but also to create new opportunities for business growth, tourism, and investment, ultimately delivering long-term benefits to the entire constituency.

The lawmaker also urged road users to exercise caution and cooperate with contractors handling the projects to ensure timely and efficient completion.

Residents across the constituency have expressed optimism, viewing the commencement of these road projects as a harbinger of better things to come.
