Ona Ara LG Chair, Dr. Temitope GLORIOUS Commissions Transformer in Jagun Elesin Community

The Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, has officially commissioned an electrification project in the Jagun Elesin community, Bioku Alaadun, Idi Iroko, Ibadan.

The project, valued at over ₦30 million, was fully self-financed by the Jagun Elesin community under the leadership of their General Chairman, Hon. Olajide Lawal. Speaking at the event held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, Dr. GLORIOUS expressed his deep appreciation for the community’s initiative.

In a press statement signed by his media aide, Mr. Rahmon Alawode, the Chairman praised the commitment of the residents and their leadership, noting that the project exemplifies true community effort and dedication. He also extended his gratitude to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for creating an enabling environment that empowers individuals and communities to contribute to infrastructural development.

Dr. GLORIOUS specially commended the leadership of Hon. Olajide Lawal, acknowledging his vital role in spearheading the project. He remarked, “The people of Jagun Elesin have essentially assisted all tiers of government by addressing their electricity needs. This remarkable effort leaves the government with fewer challenges in the area, allowing us to focus on other developmental initiatives to further uplift the community.”

The commissioning of this electrification project marks a significant milestone in the ongoing development of Ona Ara Local Government and serves as an inspiring example of what can be achieved through collaborative efforts.
